Our recruiting mission reaches across Houston and surrounding communities, engaging students, families, educators, professionals, civic leaders, and future Sailors from a wide range of backgrounds. Recruiters help identify, mentor, and guide qualified men and women who are interested in serving in the United States Navy through enlisted programs, officer programs, career opportunities, education benefits, and pathways to personal and professional growth.

The NTAG Houston Chief’s Mess supports this mission by developing leaders, mentoring Sailors and recruiters, preserving Navy heritage, and strengthening the connection between the Navy, military families, veterans, and the Houston community. Our Chiefs serve as deckplate leaders who provide guidance, accountability, training, and mentorship to Sailors while also supporting major Mess initiatives such as Chief Season, the Khaki Ball, community service projects, fundraising efforts, and professional development events.
